You can read why you absolutely need a sealant when eyelash extensions in the first part of our article about the sealant in our blog.

Today we will talk in detail about its chemical composition and how to use it correctly.

What does our sealant contain and how do you apply it?

What is included in the sealer?

Water - the basis for creating an emulsion. Water here is a solvent for all other components contained in the product.

Glycerin – humectant. It has the property of binding moisture and thus ensuring optimal surface moisture.

Butylene glycol – a preservative, viscosity modifier and active ingredient with moisturizing effects.

Urtica Dioica (nettle) extract – has a regenerating, healing, anti-inflammatory and vitaminizing effect. Normalizes fat metabolism, has a tonic and antiseptic effect, has a beneficial effect on the hair structure, stimulates its growth and protects against UV rays.

Hydrolyzed Collagen (Hydrolyzed Collagen) – stabilizer, moisturizer. Hydrolyzed collagen forms a protective film on the eyelashes that binds water to the surface, thereby retaining moisture and giving the eyelashes shine and elasticity. Can penetrate the eyelashes, increase strength and flexibility, improve texture and reduce porosity.

Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract – has healing, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, soothing and soothes skin irritations.

Hydrolyzed oat proteins (Hydrolyzed Oats) – moisturizer and care component. Promotes regeneration, restores damaged eyelashes, strengthens and accelerates eyelash growth.

Betaine – has complex properties: stabilizer, moisturizer, relieves redness and irritation, strengthens eyelashes. Betaine strengthens the membranes between cells and thereby reduces transepidermal moisture loss (has a cumulative effect). The component strengthens local immunity and makes the skin less susceptible to allergens.

Sodium PCA (sodium salt of pyrrolidonecarboxylic acid) — a natural skin moisturizer responsible for maintaining water balance. Accelerates cell metabolism, increases protective functions, stimulates eyelash growth, protects against UV rays and restores eyelash structure.

Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) – emulsion stabilizer, viscosity regulator.

Phenoxyethanol (included only in the transparent sealer) – preservative, antiseptic.

Methylparaben – preservative. At acceptable concentrations, it is considered one of the safest of all parabens.

Panthenol – a substance derived from pantothenic acid, also called provitamin B5. It has moisturizing, soothing, anti-inflammatory and regenerating properties. Panthenol protects against external influences and prevents moisture loss.

1,2-Hexanediol – solvent, viscosity regulator.

Alcohol (only contained in the black sealer) – dissolves and activates the dye.

Black 2 (included in black sealer only) – dye.

Laureth-20 (only included in the black sealer) – surfactant, emulsifier.

Disodium EDTA (found only in black sealer) – viscosity stabilizer and preservative.

How do you apply the sealant correctly?

The sealant is carefully applied to the base of the eyelashes and the adhesive areas, the places where the artificial and natural eyelashes meet, and then distributed to the tips. Do not overload the eyelashes. It is enough to use a small amount of the sealant and distribute it evenly along the entire length of the eyelashes to achieve a strengthening and protective effect.

The movements when applying the fixative are similar to the movements when applying mascara.

To prevent the eyelashes from sticking together, it is necessary to comb them with a dry, clean brush after applying the sealant.

For allergy sufferers, the sealant should be applied to the base of the eyelashes with a microbrush immediately after eyelash extensions and continued to be used at home after each wash for at least three days as described above.

To ensure that your eyelashes last better and longer, we recommend applying dev sealant at least once a day after washing your face in the morning.
