Why Does Eyelash Glue React Differently in Summer and Winter?
The speed of the glue depends directly on the humidity and temperature in the room. This applies to all cyanoacrylate-based adhesives, regardless of the brand.
What exactly happens:

In summer, when it’s warm, the air contains more moisture. This causes the glue to cure faster, as moisture triggers the polymerization process.

The glue begins to dry faster than stated on the label – and the lash stylist may not place the extensions in time. This can lead to poor retention.

In winter, on the other hand, the air is drier – the glue reacts more slowly. That’s why you need to hold the extension in place a bit longer to ensure proper bonding.
Important to know:
Manufacturers specify that glue performs optimally under ideal conditions – 45–55% humidity and a temperature of 19–22 °C (66–72 °F). Only under these conditions does the glue behave as described on the packaging, such as being "fast-drying" or "slow-drying."
If the humidity or temperature deviates from these values, the speed changes:

In high temperature and high humidity, even a slow glue can suddenly become very fast. That’s why in hot regions, it's recommended to use a slower glue in summer than in winter.

In low temperature and low humidity, even the fastest glue becomes slower.
That’s why many stylists say, "This is a summer glue." These glues are slower and work perfectly in humid summer conditions.
So, if your glue suddenly seems "moody" – it’s not the glue, but the changed conditions in the room.
