Is it allowed to do eyelash extensions during pregnancy?

Many eyelash stylists and customers ask themselves this question.

There is an opinion that eyelash extensions should not be used during pregnancy.

But neither the artificial eyelashes themselves nor the glue are harmful to the fetus. That's why eyelash extensions are possible!

There are only a few things to be aware of.

1. The hormone level is greatly changed during pregnancy. The speed of eyelash renewal can get completely mixed up as a result! Explain to your customer that the shelf life and wearing time of the Lashextensions during pregnancy can differ from the normal case (it can be much shorter in the first trimester and longer than usual from the second trimester onwards).

2. It is difficult for a pregnant woman to lie down for a long time during treatment. The more advanced the pregnancy, the harder it is to lie on your back. It is necessary to take small breaks! Please do not forget and plan more time for the pregnant customers!

3. Pregnant women are more sensitive to the smells, they may be able to perceive the glue vapors. In this case, the neutralizer for the adhesive vapors will help you, as it also removes foreign odors.

4. Pregnant women are sometimes moody Be understanding!

5. A pregnant woman must also no longer lie too deep on her back after an advanced pregnancy. This can lead to complications and jeopardize the baby's care. Therefore, make sure that the customer can lie on her side.

Why are eyelash extensions and eyelash lamination not recommended for pregnancy?

There is a very simple explanation for this! - There is always a risk of an allergic reaction. In the case of non-pregnant women, the resulting reaction can be eliminated with simple medication. In pregnant women, such drugs are harmful to the fetus.

In addition, the courts always treat pregnant women as the weaker ones. And thus as an eyelash stylist (even with a signed declaration of consent) you will never have succeeded in court.
